Keith Whitwell 0397b2bb41 Merge branch 'gallium-0.1' into gallium-0.2
A first attempt at moving gallium onto a branch directly off master...

It will be interesting to see how much work this takes to get running.

Have resolved the conflicts semi-arbitarily, not compiled or tested.
