586da7b329 nir: Add nir_lower_helper_writes pass
This NIR pass lowers stores in fragment shaders to:

   if (!gl_HelperInvocaton) {
      store();
   }

This implements the API requirement that helper invocations do not have visible
side effects, and the lowering is required on any hardware that cannot directly
mask helper invocation's side effects. The pass was originally written for
Midgard (which has this issue) but is also needed for Asahi. Let's share the
code, and fix it while we're at it.

Changes from the Midgard pass:

1. Add an option to only lower atomics.

   AGX hardware can mask helper invocations for "plain" stores but not for
   atomics. Accordingly, the AGX compiler wants this lowering for atomics but
   not store_global. By contrast, Midgard cannot mask any stores and needs the
   lowering for all store intrinsics. Add an option to the common pass to
   accommodate both cases.

   This is an optimization for AGX. It is not required for correctness, this
   lowering is always legal.

2. Fix dominance issues.

   It's invalid to have NIR like

      if ... {
         ssa_1 = ...
      }

      foo ssa_1

   Instead we need to rewrite as

      if ... {
         ssa_1 = ...
      } else {
         ssa_2 = undef
      }
      ssa_3 = phi ssa_1, ssa_2

      foo ssa_3

   By default, neither nir_validate nor the backends check this, so this doesn't
   currently fix a (known) real bug. But it's still invalid and fails validation
   with NIR_DEBUG=validate_ssa_dominance.

   Fix this in lower_helper_writes for intrinsics that return data (atomics).

3. Assert that the pass is run only for fragment shaders. This encourages
   backends to be judicious about which passes they call instead of just
   throwing everything in a giant lower everything spaghetti.

2e2d7803c7 nir: Add a load/store bit size lowering pass
This is based on brw_nir_lower_mem_access_bit_sizes() but ended up being
substantially different. While the core concepts are all the same, the
brw_* version made a lot of Intel-specific assumptions. The new version
takes a callback which takes a number of bytes of data and an alignment
pair and returns a bit size and number of components to load/store.

071ac59960 nir: Add a late texcoord replacement pass
Add a second NIR pass for lowering point/texture coordinate replacement (i.e.
point sprites). Why a second one? The current pass works on derefs/variables,
which is good for drivers that don't lower I/O at all (like Zink, where the pass
originates). However, it is problematic for hardware drivers: the inputs to this
pass depend on the shader key, so we want to run the pass as late as possible to
minimize the cost of building/compiling the associated shader variants. In
particular, we need to be able to lower point sprites after lowering I/O if we
would like to lower I/O when preprocessing NIR.

The logic for early lowering and late lowering is considerably different (the
late lowering is a lot simpler), so I've split this out into a second pass
rather than trying to weld them together into one.

This pass will be used on Asahi, which currently uses the early pass. It may be
useful for other drivers as well. (Actually, it's been shipping on Asahi for a
little while now, just hasn't been sent upstream yet.)

Tested with Neverball.

23b2d625dd nir: Add a pass for lowering shaders to single-sampled
On Intel, we have to do this because we can't ask for the per-sample

it may be a useful optimization for someone else so we may as well make

pre-nir_lower_io interp_dref_at* as well as a couple system values which

be01e8711b nir: introduce new nir_alu_alu_width() with nir_vectorize_cb callback
This function allows to only scalarize instructions down to a desired

Swizzles outside vectorization width are considered and reduce

8aff8d3dd4 nir: Add common task shader lowering to make the backend's job easier.
1. Lowers NV_mesh_shader TASK_COUNT output to launch_mesh_workgroups.

2. Removes all code after launch_mesh_workgroups, enforcing the

3. Ensures that task shaders always have at least one

need to implement a special case when the shader doesn't have it.

4. Optionally, implements task_payload using shared memory when
task_payload atomics are used.
This is useful when the backend is otherwise not capable of

If this is used, the backend only has to implement the basic

assertion failures in, for example,

due to the backend seeing nir_op_slt that it didn't know how to handle.

e73096bd6d meson: use gtest protocol for gtest based tests when possible
With the `gtest` protocol meson will add some extra arguments to the
test to generate better junit results, which may be useful. This
protocol is only available in meson 0.55.0+, so keep using the default
`exitcode` protocol for meson older than that.

b447f5049b nir: Add a discard optimization pass
Many fragment shaders do a discard using relatively little information
but still put the discard fairly far down in the shader for no good
reason. If the discard is moved higher up, we can possibly avoid doing
some or almost all of the work in the shader. When this lets us skip
texturing operations, it's an especially high win.

One of the biggest offenders here is DXVK. The D3D APIs have different
rules for discards than OpenGL and Vulkan. One effective way (which is
what DXVK uses) to implement DX behavior on top of GL or Vulkan is to
wait until the very end of the shader to discard. This ends up in the
pessimal case where we always do all of the work before discarding.
This pass helps some DXVK shaders significantly.

v2 (Jason Ekstrand):
 - Fix a couple of typos (Grazvydas, Ian)
 - Use the new nir_instr_move helper
 - Find all movable discards before moving anything so we don't
   accidentally re-order anything and break dependencies

v3 (Pierre-Eric): remove the call to nir_opt_conditional_discard based
on Daniel Schürmann comment.

v4 (Pierre-Eric):
 - handle demote intrinsics and drop derivatives_safe_after_discard
 - add early return if discards/demotes aren't used

v5 (Pierre-Eric):
 - use pass_flags instead of instr set (Daniel Schürmann)

v6 (Daniel Schürmann):
 - cleanup and fix pass_flags handling

f3de2bd6c2 nir: Add blend lowering pass
This pass was originally developed for Panfrost, where it passes the
relevant dEQP tests. Upstreaming so it can be extended and then shared
with:

* Asahi, for blending
* Zink, for logic ops
* Lavapipe, for advanced blending

Note that using this with MRT in a fragment shader (as non-panfrost
drivers will) has not yet been tested. Logic ops with integer
framebuffers are probably todo. It's been enough for Panfrost, will
suffice for ES2 on Asahi, and provides an upstream base for kusma's work
on advanced blending, so overall the merge is a net benefit.

v2: Remove bogus assert that the format layout is PLAIN. We need to
render R11G11B10, which Mesa reports as layout OTHER. The code is still
correct.

f17b41ab4f nir: add lowering pass for helperInvocationEXT()
Some hardware doesn't have a way to check if invocation was demoted,
in such case we have to track it ourselves.
OpIsHelperInvocationEXT is specified as:

 "An invocation is currently a helper invocation if it was originally
  invoked as a helper invocation or if it has been demoted to a helper
  invocation by OpDemoteToHelperInvocationEXT."

Therefore we:
- Set gl_IsHelperInvocationEXT = gl_HelperInvocation
- Add "gl_IsHelperInvocationEXT = true" right before each demote
- Add "gl_IsHelperInvocationEXT = gl_IsHelperInvocationEXT || condition"
  right before each demote_if
