b51e40ebde st/mesa: use mutex in st_get_texture_sampler_view_from_stobj
st_texture_release_all_sampler_views uses the validate_mutex,
but st_get_texture_sampler_view_from_stobj didn't.

Since they both modify stObj->view we could have threadA in
st_get_texture_sampler_view_from_stobj with a non-NULL sv,
so expecting sv->view to be non-NULL, while threadB was in
st_texture_release_all_sampler_views clearing sv->view.

It's also needed to protect st_sampler_view::private_refcount,
which is supposed to be used from the owning context thread,
but can also be used by any context in st_texture_release_all_sampler_views.

This is the same mechanism we already use for buffers. The code is mostly
copied from there. See the big comment for explanation.

This will be very effective when take_ownership is added into pipe_context
::set_sampler_views because that and this commit together will eliminate
atomics for sample views almost entirely.

7404833c2e gallium: add handling for YUV planar surfaces
st/dri:
this adds a table (similar to the one in i965) which provides
mappings for turning various planar formats into multiple sampler views.
whereas only NV12 and IYUV were supported, now many more formats are
supported here:
* P0XX
* YUV4XX
* YVU4XX
* AYUV
* XYUV
* YUYV
* UYVY

the table is used directly to handle image creation, simplifying
a lot of code and resolving related TODO/FIXME items where workarounds were
previously in place to manage NV12 and IYUV formats exclusively

st/mesa:
the changes here relate to setting up samplers for the planar formats.
this requires:
* checking for driver support for all the sampler formats
* creating the samplers with the corresponding formats and swizzling
* running nir_lower_tex with the appropriate options to trigger the lowering
  for each plane->sampler

593e36f956 st/mesa: implement "zombie" sampler views (v2)
When st_texture_release_all_sampler_views() is called the texture may
have sampler views belonging to several contexts. If we unreference a
sampler view and its refcount hits zero, we need to be sure to destroy
the sampler view with the same context which created it.

This was not the case with the previous code which used
pipe_sampler_view_release(). That function could end up freeing a
sampler view with a context different than the one which created it.
In the case of the VMware svga driver, we detected this but leaked the
sampler view. This led to a crash with google-chrome when the kernel
module had too many sampler views. VMware bug 2274734.

Alternately, if we try to delete a sampler view with the correct
context, we may be "reaching into" a context which is active on
another thread.  That's not safe.

To fix these issues this patch adds a per-context list of "zombie"
sampler views. These are views which are to be freed at some point
when the context is active. Other contexts may safely add sampler
views to the zombie list at any time (it's mutex protected). This
avoids the context/view ownership mix-ups we had before.

Tested with: google-chrome, google earth, Redway3D Watch/Turbine demos
a few Linux games. If anyone can recomment some other multi-threaded,
multi-context GL apps to test, please let me know.

v2: avoid potential race issue by always adding sampler views to the
zombie list if the view's context doesn't match the current context,
ignoring the refcount.

637240d824 st/mesa: guard sampler views changes with a mutex
Some locking is unfortunately required, because well-formed GL programs
can have multiple threads racing to access the same texture, e.g.: two
threads/contexts rendering from the same texture, or one thread destroying
a context while the other is rendering from or modifying a texture.

Since even the simple mutex caused noticable slowdowns in the piglit
drawoverhead micro-benchmark, this patch uses a slightly more involved
approach to keep locks out of the fast path:

- the initial lookup of sampler views happens without taking a lock
- a per-texture lock is only taken when we have to modify the sampler
  view(s)
- since each thread mostly operates only on the entry corresponding to
  its context, the main issue is re-allocation of the sampler view array
  when it needs to be grown, but the old copy is not freed

Old copies of the sampler views array are kept around in a linked list
until the entire texture object is deleted. The total memory wasted
in this way is roughly equal to the size of the current sampler views
array.

Fixes non-deterministic memory corruption in some

0dcf30e550 gallium: clarify the constraints on sampler_view_destroy
r600 expects the context that created the sampler view to still be alive
(there is a per-context list of sampler views).

svga currently bails when the context of destruction is not the same as
creation.

The GL state tracker, which is the only one that runs into the
multi-context subtleties (due to share groups), already guarantees that
sampler views are destroyed before their context of creation is destroyed.

Most drivers are context-agnostic, so the warning message in
pipe_sampler_view_release doesn't really make sense.

322483f71b st/mesa: fix the layer of VDPAU surface samplers
A (latent) bug in VDPAU interop was exposed by commit
e5cc84dd43.

Before that commit, the st_vdpau code created samplers with
first_layer == last_layer == 1 that the general texture handling code
would immediately delete and re-create, because the layer does not match
the information in the GL texture object.

This was correct behavior at least in the DMABUF case, because the imported
resource is supposed to have the correct offset already applied. In the
non-DMABUF case, this was just plain wrong but apparently nobody noticed.

After that commit, the state tracker assumes that an existing sampler is
correct at all times. Existing samplers are supposed to be deleted when
they may become invalid, and they will be created on-demand. This meant
that the sampler with first_layer == last_layer == 1 stuck around, leading
to rendering artefacts (on radeonsi), command stream failures (on r600), and
assertions (in debug builds everywhere).

This patch fixes the problem by simply not creating a sampler at all in
st_vdpau_map_surface. We rely on the generic texture code to do the right
thing, adding the layer_override to make the non-DMABUF case work.
